Neil Diamond's Greatest Hits Live by Rob Garrett

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency keeps going strong in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

Besides being one of the best-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also created and performed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be preserved for audiences across the globe through tribute artist Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Alexa “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas seating chart the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also won numerous awards, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
